The main chamber roof voids

The interactive drawing shows the north cross section of the pyramid and If you zoom into the main chamber area of the building you can see the roof voids above the main chamber which overhang the chamber on the east side.

The distance of the overhang was determined from the architectural geometry as being 5 cubits, or 2.61 m, and this needs to be confirmed by either

  1. Surveying from the top of the gallery through the gallery tunnel and into the voids above the main chamber which would be a difficult but non-intrusive task

  2. or

  3. Drilling a small 2mm hole through the granite roof beams of the main chamber into the first of the relieving chambers to establish the surveying connection between these two pieces of architecture
